The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into effect on the 25th May 2018, this Notice states how we comply with the Regulations and how we will use your data.
The Progressive Christianity Network (PCN) Britain (A Registered Charity No 1102164) works to promote and support open and contemporary Christian understanding. We provide a network of local groups across the country. Members come from all denominations and none. We enjoy links with other progressive Christian movements around the world, but the association is informal, we share no personal data. This privacy policy will explain how PCN Britain uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.
What data do we collect?
For members only PCN Britain collects the following data:
- Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
- Any PCN group and/or church affiliations you provide.
- For guests to the site we collect only data associated with any purchases or with our use of purely functional cookies – see below.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide PCN Britain with all of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Register online or place an order for any products (on our shop page), event fees or subscriptions.
- Voluntarily provide feedback on any message boards etc. (restricted to members only) or via email.
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
PCN Britain receives no personal data indirectly from any other electronic sources.
How will we use your data?
PCN Britain collects your data so that we can:
- Process any orders you may place and manage your membership account.
- Email you with special events or news items we think you might be interested in.
- Email you with or monthly publication ‘Progressive Voices’
PCN Britain will not share your data with any commercial organisations that they may offer you their products and services.
When PCN Britain processes an order we will are required to send your data to the payment platform (Currently Stripe or PayPal) who may also use the resulting information from credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.
How do we store your data?
PCN Britain securely stores your data at our Internet hosting provider 34SP servers.
We will keep your data for as long as your membership is current. If has expired, we will delete your data within 12 months.
Marketing
PCN Britain will not send you information for any marketing purposes.
What are your data protection rights?
PCN Britain would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request PCN Britain for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that PCN Britain correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request PCN Britain to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that PCN Britain erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that PCN Britain restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to PCN Britain processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that PCN Britain transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
